L'Oreal Paris: Repositioning for a Younger Cambodia
Ruder Finn Era holds the creative, media buying and community management retainer for L'Oreal Paris in Cambodia, tasked with attracting younger audiences and correcting the perception that the brand is only for older consumers. In 2025 the programme produced more than 400 pieces of content and 137M engagements across Facebook and TikTok, and was renewed for 2026.
The challenge
L'Oreal Paris is one of the best known beauty brands in Cambodia, but familiarity had become a problem: many younger consumers saw it as a brand for their mothers. As digitally native shoppers increasingly discover beauty on TikTok and Facebook, the brand risked losing relevance with the audience that will define the category's future.
The brand needed an always-on presence that could shift perception, sustain engagement and keep its products visible month after month.
Our solution
Ruder Finn Era's strategy was to make the brand's feeds look and sound like the audience it wanted to win. The team develops and manages creative content for Facebook and TikTok that visually communicates the products and ensures key brand messages reach consumers in a younger, more contemporary register.
Media buying amplifies the strongest content to the right audiences, while community management monitors conversations and engages with audiences to maintain accurate brand perception and deepen engagement.
Following the success of the 2025 retainer, the contract was renewed for 2026 to continue building L'Oreal Paris' presence and appeal among a younger, digitally savvy audience.
