L'Oreal Paris: Because I'm Worth It, Told by Cambodian Women
L'Oreal Paris wanted its global message Because I'm Worth It to feel relatable and inclusive to younger Cambodian women. Ruder Finn Era's Women's Day campaign invited women to reflect on their self-worth through UGC and KOL storytelling, including a woman living with a disability. It drew 2.9K participants, 2.21M video views and 128K engagements.
The challenge
In Cambodia, L'Oreal Paris was seen by many younger consumers as a premium brand for an older generation. Its global promise, Because I'm Worth It, was well known but not personally felt.
The brand needed to bridge the generational gap and make the message relatable and inclusive, building emotional connection and relevance with younger audiences without abandoning the premium positioning that defines it.
Our solution
Ruder Finn Era chose International Women's Day as the moment and self-worth as the subject. The campaign invited Cambodian women to reflect on what makes them worth it, using user-generated content and KOL storytelling so the message came from women themselves rather than from the brand.
The team spotlighted authentic voices, including a powerful story from a woman living with a disability, celebrating resilience and inclusivity. That choice reframed the brand's message beyond premium beauty and sparked community conversation.
By handing the platform to real women, the campaign embedded L'Oreal Paris in the local cultural mindset with authenticity and emotional impact.
