Royal Enfield: Taking the Brand into Lifestyle Media
Royal Enfield Thailand engaged lifestyle media for the first time to launch its SS2024 Spring Summer Apparel Collection. Ruder Finn Era's Thailand team was appointed PR agency to secure tier-one lifestyle exposure and activate KOLs and trendsetter groups, generating 43 pieces of coverage, 220 million potential reach and 185,000 US dollars in PR value.
The challenge
Royal Enfield's brand is built on adventure, freedom and individuality, but in Thailand its media relationships had been confined to motoring titles. The SS2024 Spring Summer Apparel Collection was the moment to change that: a product that speaks to lifestyle first and motorcycles second, and a reason to be seen in a different set of pages.
Engaging lifestyle media for the very first time was a step into unfamiliar territory. The brand needed exposure in tier-one lifestyle outlets and conversation among the KOLs and trendsetter groups who shape what Bangkok wears, without losing the authenticity that its riders value.
Our solution
Ruder Finn Era's Thailand team built the launch on a narrative rather than a catalogue: the authentic lifestyle experience that Royal Enfield embodies, with the collection as its expression. Key messages highlighted the unique essence and appeal of the brand, giving lifestyle editors a story about a way of living rather than a set of garments.
The primary objective was earned exposure in tier-one lifestyle outlets, which lifted the brand's visibility well beyond its existing audience. Alongside, the team connected and collaborated with KOLs and influential trendsetter groups to generate enthusiastic conversation about the collection, so that the launch was seen on people as well as in print.
