DHL Global Forwarding: Highway to ASEAN's Road Freight Future
DHL Global Forwarding opened an International Multimodal Hub in Thailand and published a whitepaper on road freight opportunities in Southeast Asia. Ruder Finn Era's Vietnam team hosted a virtual media briefing with ten top business, economy and technology outlets, generating 21 pieces of coverage, 80 percent in tier-one media.
The challenge
As manufacturing shifts across Southeast Asia, road freight between Thailand, Vietnam and their neighbours is becoming a strategic corridor rather than a last resort. DHL Global Forwarding had two announcements that told that story: a newly opened International Multimodal Hub in Thailand and a whitepaper, Highway to the Future: Navigating the Road Freight Opportunities in Southeast Asia.
The company wanted Vietnamese media to understand its commitment to the region's supply chain and logistics development, and its plans for Vietnam specifically, without a physical event and with senior executives based outside the country.
Our solution
Ruder Finn Era's Vietnam team proposed a virtual media briefing built for depth rather than volume: ten top publications in business, economy and technology, chosen for their influence with the executives and policymakers who shape logistics investment.
In an hour-long session, DHL Global Forwarding's representatives set out the importance of the International Multimodal Hub for Thailand, Vietnam and ASEAN, walked through the whitepaper's findings and shared the company's vision and near-term plans for Vietnam. The briefing gave each outlet enough substance for a feature rather than a news brief, which showed in the share of tier-one coverage.
