SHIELD: Safeguarding Vietnam's Healthcare Ecosystem Against Fraud
SHIELD, a device-first AI risk intelligence platform, signed a partnership MOU with Buymed, a leading Southeast Asian healthcare marketplace, to introduce its fraud prevention technology to Vietnam. Ruder Finn Era's Vietnam team managed media relations and event logistics for the signing, drawing more than 40 Ho Chi Minh City outlets and 28 pieces of coverage, all positive.
The challenge
Digital healthcare marketplaces are growing fast in Vietnam, and with them the fraud risk that comes with high-value transactions and sensitive data. SHIELD's device-first AI approach to risk is distinct from other technology companies' methods, but the brand had no established name in Vietnam and no simple way to explain what makes it different.
A partnership MOU with Buymed, a leading healthcare marketplace platform in Southeast Asia, gave SHIELD a concrete local story. The company wanted to announce the partnership and introduce its products to Vietnam through a signing ceremony, with media relations that would make a technical proposition newsworthy.
Our solution
Ruder Finn Era's Vietnam team built the media programme around clarity. A tailored media list covered tech, business and mass outlets, and a press kit of localised press release, fact sheets and case studies gave journalists the context to explain device-first risk intelligence accurately, and the Buymed partnership to make it relevant.
Invitations went out ahead of the ceremony, the team coordinated event logistics on the day, and a press release followed immediately after. Journalists published quickly and shared links back within hours, and several supported the story with posts on their outlets' and their own social channels, extending the announcement beyond the newsroom.
